PDG Lion Piyush Diwan was District Governer in 1995-96. He is Charter Lion of Lions Club of J.B. Nagar since 1971.
He was known as A-B-C District Governer. He gave three main programmes – A – Ambulances, B – Telephone Booths for disabled, C – Cataract Operations. During his year as Governor, 12 Ambulances were donated to mofusil clubs, 101 Telephone booths were planned, and 4800 Cataract Operations were done. At the end of the year, he received a very rare 100% District Governor Excellence Award from Lions International. He also received Lions International President's Medal for his excellent working.
Additionally, he received International President's Certificates for membership growth, International Certificate for work in Sight First.
He was the President of Club in 1979-80.
He is a MJF and has attended three International Conventions – Miami , Seol, and Birmingham.
His Slogan as District Governor was “Dedication, Involvement, Commitment”. Both he and his wife – Lion Titiksha Diwan have lived up to this. |
